I think I may stick around a bit at the prison after all. I ran the numbers regarding the pay difference I’ll get if I retire in six months as opposed to if I stay another two years. If I stay another two years, I’ll have an additional $350.00 per month added to my pension. Being able to say I worked twenty-five years for the BOP sounds a lot better than saying I worked twenty-three years. I want to get my twenty-five-year pin too. It may sound weird to you, but that’s just me. Besides, I met the new warden yesterday. He’s bad-to-the-ass! (That’s a good thing, mind you.) I think he’s going to really boost morale up there. I really like him. I think I may hang around.
