My car broke down on the way to work this morning. Bottom radiator hose and the clamp keeping it on came off. I spent an hour in the cold wind on the side of I-35W in Burleson putting it back on. After I got it back on and refilled the radiator with coolant, I drove for another half mile and it sprang a leak from somewhere else. By this time I could no longer feel my fingers due to the cold temperatures, so I called for a wrecker and had it towed to my local mechanic. Hopefully, it will be a comparatively simple inexpensive fix so I can have my wheels back.
I’m using emergency annual leave for the rest of the day per my boss and I’m waiting around to hear from my mechanic.
